Dean, I am so very sorry to hear of Alison's passing. I haven’t kept up with the old SFX community recently and just heard. Alison was always smiling and laughing and making people happy. She never seemed to have a bad day. Mike and I send our condolences to you and Dylan.

I just came across this obituary. Alison was our licensing agent for about 10 years when we began our foster children journey. She also was a really good friend and confident. We enjoyed her spicy sense of humor and her smile my sincere condolences to the whole family. I know this is a huge loss, and I know that thing journey there was difficult. We will miss her. We already have been missing her. Prayers to all of you for comfort from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Alison was simply one of the greatest people I ever had the good luck of meeting and thankfully we became fabulous friends. I loved her dearly. We didn't get to spend as much time together because we had our families and jobs in different states, but we kept in touch, saw each other on occasion and it was as if no time passed at all. She made me laugh and laugh. So funny and witty and smart and kind.
We were paired together at the sfsu dorms and the rest is history. We lived on the 8th floor and she always took the stairs because she did not care for elevators! I called her Ali-Rasta and she called me Karen Anderson Comedian Royale - that's how she referred to me every single time we spoke! so funny and such a champion of others success and sometimes not such successes...always there for you with encouragement. Boy did she love her family. I've heard so many great stories about all of you!
The last few times we visited were so fun and we laughed a lot even though Alison wasn't feeling up to par. She had the best attitude about everything and is a true inspiration. Dean and Dylan you sure landed yourself a great one and she was so proud of both of you.
I will be in S.C. helping my in -laws into their new home on the 25th and am heartbroken to miss the memorial. Dean was sweet to say, sometimes life gets in the way. It sure does.
I'll miss you Alison.
Love Karen

Dean, I am so very sorry to hear of Alison's passing. She fought with dignity and might these past years but, as you said, through it all kept a very positive attitude. I enjoyed the messages she and I sent to each other to keep in touch and especially love that we saw through our differences to maintain a friendship. Unfortunately, I am out of town on January 28 and will miss the service. May she rest in eternal peace. xo
