Alisha's obituary

  1. We mournfully announce the passing of Alisha Arceneaux, 49, of Lafayette, La. Alisha passed away on November 26, 2021, after a hard fought battle with kidney failure. Alisha was born to Alton Joseph Arceneaux and Delores Sampy Arceneaux, took her first breath on  October 30, 1972. She has one son, Brandon Arceneaux whom she loved with all her heart. Alisha was a ray of Sunshine. She dedicated her life to the studies of her bible. She lived her life according to the teachings of the bible she so loved and enjoyed reading. Alisha was a remarkable woman who fed everyone she came in contact with words of wisdom from her bible knowledge. She listened to everyone's problem and offer,  the word to help comfort anyone in need. Alisha nephews and nieces meant more to her than words can describe. She was  always bringing laughter and joy, and encouraging peace and love among families. She was a warrior who fought many battles and conquered them. However, her fragile, weak lacerated body could not endure any further trauma. We will miss Alisha dearly. We will cherish her memories. She leaves to continue on with memories her 5 sisters Audrey, Danielle, Shirley and Leslie Arceneaux, a loving brother in law, Kasey Leonard, four beautiful nieces, Logan and Chanel Senegal whom she loved as daughters, Madison Arceneaux and Tyra Evans, 5 nephews Brent Arceneaux, Lakqe Felix, Darius Evans, Riley Evans and Marquis Evans.  One  extended niece Keidra  Parker and her "buddies" as she called them Journi Martin and Je'Mauri Parker her loving niece and nephew. Services will be held at Syrie Funeral with the date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Alisha.
  2. All proceeds will go towards  Alisha's memorial.
