Alisha Dawn Ackley, beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, passed from this life on Friday, June 2nd, 2023, at the age of 37.

She is survived by her 2 children Emorie Simmers and Mason Simmers, her parents Leah Bratsch, Rick Ackley, and second mom Lisa Root,  her brothers Drake Wolfe and Richard Ackley, her sisters Jylana Thomas, Patty Raitt, Sarai Jensen, and Hannah Henley, as well as Aunts, cousins, and friends.  

Alisha was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Virginia D. Bevans.

Alisha was born in Pittsfeild IL, graduated from Dallastown High School York PA, and ended up back in the Midwest in Havana IL.  

Alisha loved being a mother, had a beautiful singing voice, and never missed an opportunity to make people laugh. 

From the beginning, Alisha had many obstacles to overcome, she conquered most!  All who knew her appreciated her zest for life, her love for others, and her fun loving personality.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at the Havana Riverfront Park, Pavilion #4, on Sunday, July 9th, 2023, at 2pm-4 pm.  All who knew and loved Alisha are welcome to come.

In lieu of flowers, Alisha's family would appreciate donations in her honor go to a non-profit of your choosing.
