Aline's obituary
Aline Ward, born on December 15, 1940, in Lubbock Texas. She attended Dunbar High School, and went to New Hope Baptist Church. She peacefully passed away on October 21, 2023. A strong and kind-hearted woman, Aline lived a full life, touching many hearts along her journey.
Proceeding her in death are her parents and 3 sisters and brother, Lester Jo Ward Mooring, Charlene Ward Brown, Shirley Booker, and Abdula.
She is survived by her beloved brothers Tony and Lester Ward (uncle fish), niece, Tonia Ross, Jasmine Booker, and a host of nieces and nephews who will continue to remember her loving aunt's spirit and carry on her zest for life. In memory of Aline, a private family service will be held to honor her life.
Her departure leaves a void in many hearts, but her memory, characterized by love and kindness, will forever remain. We remember Aline Ward not as someone who is no longer with us, but as someone who will forever be a part of us.
A Special Poem From Laura Mae and Family.
There was no time to say goodbye. But this I ask — please do not cry. Remember me as you think best. Remember the happy times, but forget the rest.
Look for me and I’ll be there, And you will find me everywhere. In the gentle touch of the breeze That cools the skin or swirls the leaves.
In the scent and color of flowers That gave me such happy hours. On sunny days, under sunny skies of blue, Just think of me, I’ll be with you.
In winter when there’s cloud or mist, The rain will give to you my kiss. As wood smoke lingers in the air, Look for me and I’ll be there.
Where seagulls cry above the sea And surf rolls in so endlessly. Among towering trees that soar above, In all these things that I once loved.
Look for me and I’ll be there. You’ll feel my presence EVERYWHERE!
