Aline came into my life at Tech High School..Indianapolis, Indiana. We were "club" sisters (many a social club was enjoyed during that time..1953-1057) and as such, we did many things with tghe girls in ours...from sleep overs with midnight runs to a White Castle to going with dates to a state park for an afternoon of hiking and much laughter. On one such outing I introduced her to my date...and I could see immediately that they were meant to be. That boy was William Payne...the rest is history. Bill was a year older, but their mutual interest continued even after her Mother had the family moved to a nicer neighborhood near Butler University, and Aline finished her last years of high school at Broad Ripple. As gals enjoyed attending basketball tournaments at the But.er Field House when Tech was playing, we often had our sleepovers at Aline's new home. The 59's were mighty fine years to be a teen...lifelong friendships were made, and fun was the order of every day.

Dear Nadja,
I was so sad to hear of this. I have talked to her often over the years and she had plans for this summer. Disney World, of course. My heart feels for all of you. Be well, Paula Holl

I was saddened to learn of Aline’s passing. I have many happy memories of our 60+ year friendship. May she test in peace with Bill, the love of her life. My prayers are with her family and friends.

Grandma, I will miss talking to you on a regular basis and all the advice you’ve given me and always making sure that me and Kannon are always ok. It hurts a lot that you have to leave us but I’m happy to know that you and grandpa can finally be together again and I know how much you miss him. I’m so thankful to ever met a beautiful soul like you and grandpa. Even though we didn’t get a chance to spend a long time together but I’m always happy and enjoyed the time when we visit, our food trips, wine nights and games are always fun. You are the grandma that I never had and I’m thankful that you become part of my life. I love you so much and always keep an eye of all of us.
Love- Lorry and Kannon

Aline was the very first person we met when we moved to Rio Rico in 2007. She was excited to have another Hoosier contingent in the neighborhood & promptly invited us to her upcoming Super Bowl party. Since that time we spent many, many hours with Aline & Bill and many other friends playing dominos, dining at Wisdom's, & attending so many celebrations with them. I especially remember attending a Memorial Day gathering to watch the Indy 500......her directions for the "pool" were so involved & difficult - everyone was asking questions & we missed most of the race! Her imagination knew no bounds!!
She was one of a kind & will be missed by many ~ Nancy & Les Lawhorn

Attended her murder mystery parties. So fun and so very creative. When I went to nursing school and had summer classes she watched my youngest son and kept him entertained an educated and showed him so much love. She taught me much about birdwatching. She was always up for a new adventure. When visiting her she made you feel so very special. When visiting her in Arizona she showed me all the sites and included me in so many activities. She was very good friend to me and my family.
