Alicia's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alicia Megan Wilke, a beloved daughter, sister, auntie, and friend, on March 1, 2025, in Caldwell, ID, at the age of 31. Alicia’s light shone brightly in all she did, and her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. Alicia was born in Escondido, CA, on December 15, 1993, to Stacy Hollenbeck and Paul Wilke. She was a loving sister to Kristi Pineda, Joseph Wilke, and Ashley Barberi, and an adoring auntie to her nephews Elias, Adriel, and Emilio Pineda. She was also cherished by her grandmother, Jane Hollenbeck, and grandfather and step-grandmother, Kenneth and Jean Hollenbeck. Alicia was preceded in death by her grandparents Richard and Mary Ann Wilke.
Alicia’s professional journey was a true testament to her dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to others. She began her career as an Advanced EMT and Emergency Department Tech before becoming a Paramedic and Firefighter. Her love for the emergency medical field was evident in her work, where she educated and mentored others while providing lifesaving care. Alicia’s devotion to her calling was honored in 2018 when she was named Paramedic of the Year by the Kuna Fire Department. She saved countless lives throughout her decade of service and was a true hero to many.
In addition to her medical career, Alicia was a passionate and skilled volunteer, serving as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Kuna Fire Department. She oversaw volunteer staff, organized fundraising events, and was a key figure in supporting the EMS mission. Outside of work, Alicia enjoyed an active and fulfilling life. She loved building and training on tactical med kits, shooting and teaching on firearm safety, and outdoor activities such as camping, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, floating the river, and snowboarding. Alicia also enjoyed traveling and visiting the ocean, singing and playing the piano, writing poetry, crocheting, and drawing. Alicia was also incredibly skilled in sign language and incorporated it into worship, often performing worship songs at church. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved nephews.
Alicia’s infectious smile, sense of humor, and generous heart made her a beloved presence in the lives of those around her. She was outgoing, calm under pressure, incredibly intelligent, and deeply devoted to her family, friends, and her church family. She was known for her strength and positivity, never letting her personal trials overshadow her ability to brighten the lives of others. Most importantly, Alicia loved the Lord with all her heart and shared her testimony wherever she went.
Alicia received the gift of the Holy Ghost at 12 years old at church camp and was rebaptized in the Name of Jesus on July 7, 2021 in Kuna, ID.
While Alicia’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void, we take comfort in knowing she is now free from pain and suffering, rejoicing and reaping the rewards in her eternal life with Jesus. This is not a goodbye, but rather an "until we see you again" in paradise.
