Alicia's obituary

Alicia Marie Walker, also known as "Ian Moone", a 27-year-old from Tucson, Arizona, tragically passed away on Friday, June 21st, 2024 after drowning in a flash flood.

Alicia was an exceptional individual whose essence was nearly impossible to capture in words. She radiated warmth, kindness, and a deep compassion that permeated every aspect of her life. As a devoted vegetarian, Alicia's empathy extended to all living beings. Her passions were boundless - she found joy and inspiration in the arts, reveling in vibrant colors, captivating music, and the graceful movements of dance. She had a gift for capturing the beauty of the world through her camera lens, consistently sharing stunning photographs on Instagram. Alicia loved anime and Japanese culture, although I’m unsure if there’s anything she liked more than memes. Despite cherishing her solitude, Alicia effortlessly made friends wherever she went, endearing herself to many. She was truly amazed by delving into spirituality, sexuality, and the mysteries of the universe. She felt joy collecting vinyl records, vintage and stylish clothing, stickers, gems and minerals, shoes, and tattoos.

Bill also wanted to share that Alicia accepted Jesus into her life approximately 6 months prior to her passing and will be sharing some of her favorite scripture with us.

Alicia was born on July 20th, 1996 to the William “Bill” Charles Griggs, and Jeannie Louise Walker, family in Rochester, New Hampshire. She grew up in Tucson, Arizona. Although Alicia never married or had children, she was deeply devoted to animals, especially her beloved cats. She showered her feline companions with unwavering love and care, exemplifying a level of selflessness and compassion that was truly remarkable. Alicia’s mother passed away before her. She is survived by her father, Bill.

I would like to share that any donations exceeding the fundraising costs will be equally divided between two meaningful causes. The first is DanceSafe, a non-profit organization that provides crucial services such as drug education, sexual health and consent workshops, political advocacy, and event outreach. Their dedicated volunteers distribute vital information and resources at DanceSafe booths. The second is the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary, which has been offering a safe and caring environment for vulnerable cats and kittens since 1965. Your contribution will make a significant impact on the causes that were dear to Alicia's heart.
