With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alicia Brown, a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her. Born on April 5, 1987, Alicia lived a vibrant and meaningful life until her untimely death on September 1, 2023.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Cheryl Johnson Ethington, and her devoted daughters Kylie and Lillian Brown. Her brother-in-law David Ethington, stood by her side through thick and thin, and will forever hold a special place for Alicia in his heart. Alicia was predeceased by her parents, Erwin Brown and Dorothy Johnson Brown, who inculcated in her the importance of family and resilience.
Alicia had a plethora of favorites in life that added color to her existence. She relished the simple pleasures of indulging in pizza and bone-in wings, and her preferred beverage was Pepsi. Her voracious reading habit was fueled by books like 'Meet Marley' and 'Notebook' and her music collection was incomplete without Blake Shelton's tunes. Alicia was an ardent follower of the TV show 'Big Brother' & her favorite movies included classics like 'Titanic' and 'Dirty Dancing'.
A sports enthusiast, she passionately followed the Cowboys and Tigers teams. She loved watching performances of 'Nutcracker', and found great joy in outdoor activities like biking and spending time at the beach or mountains. Her favorite vacation spot was Colorado, where she cherished spending quality time with her family.
Family was incredibly important to Alicia. It was not just her family by blood that mattered to her but the family she chose too. She had a profound love for the color peach which reflected her warm and welcoming personality. Alicia lived her life with a generosity of spirit that will continue to inspire all those whom she left behind.
