With my father being in the military we didn't live near Aunt Alice. One of the memories that my mom wanted to share was " She had gone to Ohio for her mothers, funereal.    The two them spend time catching up and talking about things. Not knowing anything else was going on. Sends they didn't need a tv on. She loves her big sister and all her other family.
Alice was my mom's oldest sister and a second mom to me.  She always told my mom; they should swap draughts at times. Do to the fact she like to dress Amy up and Amy was better as a tomboy. I want to dress up and my mom dressed me like a tomboy, since she had two boys. Neither of them would have traded. They both love us so much.  It's really going to be hard not being able to pick up the phone to say hi and talk. We had become close since Uncle Jim passed away. But Aunt Alice always remembered my birthday and every now and then when she had talked to my mom, I would get a note to remind me that everything was going to be ok.  I know she is looking down on us all and watching after us because she loves us all unconditionally.  Big Hugs

What a wonderful woman - she was a pillar of patience and love and will be dearly missed!

Alice was beautiful inside and out, a source of kindness, support and comfort to me over the years. I am thankful to have been part of each other's life. She is so dearly loved and missed. Praying for peace and comfort for all of her loved ones. You are in my heart.
