Alice's obituary

Alice Sosnoski, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025 after a life filled with creativity, generosity, and warmth. She was born on June 23, 1944 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and moved to America with her parents at the age of 10 and grew up in Lakeville, Minnesota.

Alice pursued her passion for art at the Minneapolis School of Art and Design, where she earned an associate degree that reflected her lifelong love of painting, crafts, and the beauty found in nature. She lived for many years in Rosemount, Minnesota, before moving to Wisconsin and most recently residing in Danbury.

Her hobbies brought color and joy to those around her: painting, gardening, exploring nature, and crafting. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, as well as the company of friends who appreciated her kindness, humor, and welcoming spirit.

Alice is survived by her two children, Michele Sosnoski and Jefferey Sosnoski; her grandchildren, Kerry Lockhart, Kayla Lockhart-Donaldson (Wills), Melanie Lockhart-Valentin (Ramiro), Adria Grabau (Trevor), Jessica Sosnoski, and Jack Sosnoski; and her great-grandchildren, Ariyana and Jackie. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at a later date where she will join her parents in Castle Rock, Minnesota.

Alice Sosnoski’s warmth, creativity, and generous spirit will remain in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
