Alice Marie Jones went to be with her Lord on Thursday August 22, 2024.

Alice, better known as Maw Maw, was loved by so many and her absence will be deeply felt. Dennis Lane Jones was the love of her life and she called him her Heartsong. She dedicated her life to her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished all her family, extended family, church and friends. She loved hummingbirds, butterflies, the color purple, and Sam Elliott. 

She is survived by her best friend and husband of 53 years; her 2 daughters, Tracy (Barry) Shaw and Shanna (Chris) Witcher; her 6 grandchildren, Kaci (Jimmy) Masters, James (Savannah) Galliher, Wyatt (Jamie) Galliher, Josie (Brett) Dickinson, Will Witcher and Noah Witcher; her 2 great-granddaughters, Katherine Lane Masters and Everleigh-Rose Dickinson. She was also excitedly expecting another great-granddaughter, Ivy-Rayne Galliher, due to arrive in January.

She is also survived by her sisters, Lisa (Shane) Dean, Candy (Scott) Dean, and Linda (Harold) Davis; her brothers, Kenny Gore, Charles (Deborah) Gore and Ronald Gore.

She is preceded in death by her mother Arlene Gore, her father Bobby Jones, her stepfather Cecil Gore, her brothers Gene Duncan and Kenny Jones.

We will be having a Celebration of Life for all who loved her. Please join us at Gospel Truth Lighthouse at 2315 Hill Ave in Gadsden on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 4pm. There will also be visitation beforehand at 2pm.
