Alice Humphrey, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on March 2, 1946 and peacefully departed from this life on October 8, 2023. Alice was predeceased by her devoted husband, Joseph Humphrey, her loving sister, Zolabelle Thompson, and cherished daughter-in-law, Tanya Humphrey.
Her legacy is carried on by her sister Rose Minor, three sons, Joseph Humphrey, Rick Baldwin, and Robert Baldwin. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Dana Humphrey, Dale Humphrey, and Bryce Baldwin. Alice was a person of strong character and resilience, a matriarch whose lessons of strength and perseverance will echo through the generations of her family.
Alice was a woman of simple pleasures. She enjoyed her favorite foods, always ready for a cup of noodles or an occasional burger. Her love for coffee with plain powder creamer was a constant, a simple joy she indulged in daily. Alice loved her television shows, particularly Grey's Anatomy and Hallmark holiday movies.
In her leisure time, Alice loved the solitude of being outside in the sun enjoying her coffee, while smoking her cigarettes and watching the deer. She kept herself active with short walks. She also had a keen interest in football (specifically the redskins). Alice taught her family and others how to remain strong no matter how challenging life can become. Her wisdom and steadfast spirit will be dearly missed.
Alice was more than a mother and a grandmother, she was a beacon of strength and unconditional love. Her devotion to her family was evident in every action. She was a woman of immense grace and compassion, and her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and friends.
