Alia's obituary
Alia Christine Griffin, of Buellton, California, left this world unexpectedly at age of 24 on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was born on June 16, 1999 to her mother Christine Griffin in Buellton, California and was a beloved daughter, sister, niece and cousin. She graduated with honors from Santa Ynez High School and went on to study business at Santa Barbara City College.
Alia was funny, outgoing and vivacious and found a reason to laugh through so many situations. She brought that childlike wonder to every challenge she faced with an infectious zest for life and a smile that lit up any room she entered.
She was a multi-talented artist with many giftings that included baking, painting, drawing, working with dogs and horses and she excelled at whatever she set her mind to doing. She had an unbridled love for animals but more specifically dogs. Alia took that passion and turned it into what was fast becoming a very successful career as a dog trainer. She was very excited about her future and had found tremendous happiness in the last few months of her life. We will always remember her beautiful brown eyes, her infectious dimple smile and her warm and bubbly personality. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed.
When you think of our sweet Alia, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
Alia was preceded in death by her mother Christine Griffin. She leaves behind her adoptive mother/grandmother Donna Griffin, her big sister Jessica Griffin and her big brother Dylan Tajon, her aunt Robin Pinto and Uncle John Pinto, cousins Lyndsay Martin & her husband Sean Martin with their daughter Robin Martin, Morgan Butkus & his wife Haley Sunkes and Hannah Butkus.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Ranch Church on Thursday, November 2nd at 11am located at 800 E. Hwy 246, Solvang, CA . A reception will follow in the same location.
A memorial fund has been set up for all who wish to contribute.
