The new bike!

The new bike! — with Alfred R Zipp
I’d never met someone who hadn’t ever taken physics read a whole college physics textbook and understand it. I marveled at Al’s ability to do just that. Handsome and lively, complicated while also caring, Al embodied the Zipp joie de vivre, creativity, and goodness that live on in you, Alicia!  I’m so sorry for your loss.

I remember him as a teenager when we would visit your house in Livingston. It was the late sixties and Al had longish hair and a motorcycle and seemed to me to be the perfect embodiment of hippie coolness. Perhaps my recall is inaccurate but that is how he has lived in my mind for the past half century. So sorry to hear he is no longer with us. My condolences.

I remember Alfred as a mischievous little boy.

May his memory be a blessing.
