Alfred's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Alfred Makowski, a cherished patriarch, Vietnam veteran, and generous soul. Born September 4, 1956, Alfred departed from this life on November 21, 2024, leaving behind a legacy awash with love and fond memories.
Alfred was a man whose personality was best encapsulated by his generous spirit, his playful silliness, and his boundless love for those fortunate enough to know him. He was a beacon of resilience and grit, always imparting the essential lesson that no matter the trials and tribulations life presents, one must always keep going.
Among his considerable accomplishments, his service as a Vietnam veteran stood as a testament to his valor and dedication to his country. However, his proudest and most cherished roles were those he held within his family-- as a loving husband, a beloved uncle, supportive father, and a doting grandfather.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Suzanne Barry, and his children; Joseph Makowski, Connie Jo Makowski, Damian Golden, Samantha Makowski, and Michael Barry. His love continues to thrive through his grandchildren, Alexiz Makowski, Keila Makowski, Xander Makowski, Demetreus Makowski, Romello Makowski, Giovanni Makowski, Gwendolyn Makowski, Jaime Vergara, Christopher Vergara, Ellyana Vergara, Jordan Barry, and Jaxon Barry. He is also survived by his first great-grandchild, Shane Simmons.
Alfred will be remembered for his charm, wit, and his unyielding resilience even when faced with adversity. His life and character will continue to inspire his family and those who knew him, serving as a beacon of strength, love, and perseverance. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
