Alfred Glenn Jones went home to Jesus on April 09, 2023 at age 82.

Alfred was born to Leon and Willie Dee Jones on May 28, 1940 in Tyler, Tx. Alfred met his wife, Mary Lou in 1962 in Tyler, Tx. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, having married on March 30, 1963. They went on to have 2 children, Lisa Ann Jones of Houston and Rick Jones of McKinney. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father and grandfather, Alfred also loved being with his beloved dog, Shug watching the Cowboys or the Aggies, doing his favorite crossword puzzles, and reading detective or historical novels. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church of Longview. Alfred joins his mother Willie Dee, father Leon, brother David, and many close cousins and friends in Heaven. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, children Rick Jones and Lisa Jones, grandchildren Riley, Matthew, and Elijah Jones, and Daughter-in-law Stefanie Jones, Nephew David Jones, Cousin Santa Ihrer, and many other cousins and family members he loved dearly.
