Alfred Joseph Coscia, age 57, of Shelby Twp., Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2024. Born on January 24, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan, Alfred was the beloved son of Alfred Giuseppe and Eileen Anne (née Coakley) Coscia.
Alfred spent his childhood in St. Clair Shores and graduated from Lakeview High School. He went on to study at Macomb Community College before beginning a long and dedicated career as a machinist with Ford Motor Company, where he worked for over 30 years.
A proud veteran, Alfred served his country in the U.S. Navy, embodying a deep sense of patriotism and duty throughout his life.
On September 21, 2021, Alfred married the love of his life, Billie Jo Calabro-McCarthy, in a beautiful beach ceremony in Florida. Together, they created cherished memories while traveling to their favorite destinations.
In his free time, Alfred enjoyed gaming and immersing himself in the world of Marvel movies. He was a devoted family man, and his sense of humor and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Calabro-McCarthy; his children, Amanda (Spencer Forsell) Coscia, Natasha (Vaux) Adams, Adriana (Cory Ward) Coscia, Alyssa (David) Paramore, Alexandra Skiba, Joseph (Jerica) Calabro, Anthony Calabro, and Benjamin McCarthy; and his adored grandchildren, Riley and Ezra. He also leaves behind his mother, Eileen Coscia; his sisters, Christine (David) Savage and Bridget (Greg) Zabawa; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Alfred is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Giuseppe Coscia, who passed away in 2021.
