Alfonso L. Lewis, age 86 of Troy, IL, born October 07, 1936 in Montgomery, AL, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Evelyn’s House Hospice Center in Creve Coeur, MO.

Alfonso loved his family and friends and the time they spent together. He also greatly enjoyed traveling the world.

Alfonso served in the United States Air Force from 1954 – 1958 after graduating High School. Alfonso held several civilian positions throughout 45+ years at Scott Airforce Base in St. Claire County Illinois. His last position before retiring in 2005 was the Manager of Housing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lillie (Stockman) Lewis; Daughter – Melissa Joy Lewis; and three siblings: Leo Lewis, Doug (Mary) Lewis, and Alma (Ivey) Shelton.

Surviving is his significant other of 25+ years, Easter Robinson; One Brother; Richard Lewis; One Daughter: Jessica (Chuck Leeck) Lewis; One Grandson: Aidan Leeck, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Cotton Branch Funeral Home in Ferguson, MO. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. The burial will follow the funeral with a Ceremony provided by the VFW at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2900 Sheridan Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125.
