Obituary
Alex Mourmouras passed away in July in Washington, DC. He was 64. His wife, Sun Mi Lee, and son, Tom Mourmouras, were with him.
Alex leaves behind a tremendous legacy in economics and policy. He held numerous leadership roles at the International Monetary Fund; most recently Director for the Capacity Development Office in Thailand. CD provides technical assistance and training for IMF member countries around the world, and accounts for a third of IMF spending. …
