North Augusta, SC – The Mass of Christian Burial for Alexander “Boo Boo” Miguel Cruz, Jr.,11, who entered into rest March 3, 2023 after a battle with cancer, will be celebrated Friday at 12 o’clock from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Father Renaurd West officiating. Intermediarywill follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 10:30 until 11:30. Recitation of the Rosary at 11:30.

Alex was born October 31, 2011, in Aiken, South Carolina. He had a big impact on everyone who knew him. Alex would always light up the room with the biggest smile. He loved going to church, the beach, and spending time with family. Alex loved candy, especially Reeses and gummies. He was a fan of superheroes, his favorite superhero was Flash.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Acosta (Yeremi); father, Alexander Miguel Cruz; siblings, Alfredo Cruz and Kehlani Polanco; grandparents, Pilar Hernandez (Elder), Matias Acosta (Maria) and Patricia Cruz; aunts, Julissa Acosta, Stephanie Acosta, Cira Rodriguez (Cesar) and Andrea Villalobos (Ernesto); uncle, Elias Menjivar; cousins, Giovanni Rodriguez, Lynnsey Rodriguez, Luis Villalobos, Elena Villalobos and Mesak Ayala.

Pallbearers will be Cesar Rodriguez, Ernesto Villalobos, Yeremi Polanco, Matias Acosta, Elder Menjivar and Giovanni Rodriguez.

To honor Alex, the family asks everyone to wear Alex’s favorite color blue.
