The most fun I ever had with Alex was probably when we were choreographing our opening number for musical theater. We both had kind of taken the reigns on figuring out exactly what we were going to do. Every time we decided on something to do next he would write it in his notebook. There were a couple times when I suggested something and he would just give a thoughtful head nod before writing it down and testing it out. I felt like I was getting his approval, which was something I really wanted when doing the choreo. And then the best part was definitely putting it all together as a group, smiling and laughing as we performed like there was no tomorrow!

Class felt empty without him. But I know right now he's flying like an angel.

Alex had such a kind heart! I had English with him last year and he is one of the reasons i started to play guitar. I remember one class period we talked about guitar for the whole class. He was so positive, smart, caring, and a light! I will miss him so much. Last Sunday I was singing a song and his name came in to my head and I knew that he is still gonna be with us for years to come.

Daxton loved taking photos with the cast of all of the musicals his big brother is in. For Lightning thief he got brave enough to ask Alex even though he played someone mean. Lol. He will be missed so much. I’m so sorry for your loss.

2023, Wauwatosa Children's Theater
This is a photo from the 2023 production of "Peter Pan". Two of my children (Louis and Aidenn) had so much fun performing with Alex. While Rob and I didn't not know Alex as well as many - I can say was a fan favorite over here in the Riepenhoff home. We were so impressed with his talent and loved to hear him make music with Louis in the basement. Our family feels this loss with everyone in our community. — with Louis Riepenhoff
I was a long-term substitute chemistry teacher at Tosa East, and Alex was the kind of student every teacher dreams of. Whenever I graded his quizzes, they were always so logical, clear, and beautifully organized. Thinking of him still brings a deep ache to my heart.

Today, I happened to meet Teddy, and we shared hugs—along with our sorrow. We comforted each other, grieving someone so special and so loved.

Alex will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I'm sure we all know Alex loved the Beatles. One of the funniest things to me about him was how stubborn he was in his opinion that the song Dear Prudence was THE WORST song they'd ever produced.

I knew Alex since I was in kindergarten, he was always incredibly smart, funny, and had a knack for art and music. One of my favorite memories of us in elementary school was of laughing endlessly over silly comics and characters we had drawn in art class. And you could always tell he was an actor, we really enjoyed creating elaborate role-play games and acting out silly stories to entertain ourselves. Through Middle school, Alex was a very close friend to me, he was reliable and constantly there when I needed a serious talk or maybe just a joke to pick me up. He was one of the funniest people I knew, with his hilariously witty, dry sense of humor, my memories with Alex are some of the most joyful. And in Theater, it was amazing to watch Alex grow and become the actor he was, his dedication to his roles and presence on stage were beyond his years. While me and Alex grew apart more last year, I could see how much of a positive impact he had on the people around him, and what joy he brought to the theater. I am forever grateful for being Alex’s friend and getting to experience such an amazing life.

Alex was such a light in my life. We first found ourselves together in 6th grade, in a rec department production of Aladdin. Frankly, we did not get along. As middle school continued in 6th and 7th grade, we found ourselves in the same group of friends. When we got to 8th grade Alex and i became especially close and had continued to be friends. Alex was one of the most understanding people I´ve ever met. Alex would listen to you talk as long as you needed and somehow still come out with advice for every single issue and experience. He was never scared to give you his very unfiltered opinion, (even if it wasn't exactly what you wanted to hear). About 2 weeks before he passed, I had been crying in the stairwell of the theater. He had come down the stairs and asked if i was okay, I, embarrassed, told him i was, and he continued down the stairs.  a moment passed and he paused, and began coming back up the stairs. He said ¨you're not okay¨. Alex then hugged me, and told me it was going to be okay, he reassured me that i was okay and told me that if i ever needed anything, he would be there. He then followed up later just to really make sure i was okay. Alex could always tell what i was feeling, without me having to say a word. That meant a lot.  I´m thankful to have had Alex in my life as long as i did, and im grateful he ever found it in his heart to be my friend

2019
In the summer of 2019 Alex, Gabe and Mayah were in King Midas and the Golden Touch. Yet again, Alex stood out on stage. Over time, both Mayah and Gabe shared the stage a number of times with him, including Frozen, Who Killed Elvis, Lion King, Alien’s vs Cheerleaders, Legally Blonde, Radium Girls, and Percy Jackson. I remember before Radium Girls, I thanked Alex for inspiring Gabe to cut his hair too. He chuckled, smiled and said “you’re welcome.” Alex was an incredible performer, dedicated to his craft and extremely talented. He made the shows better. As an individual, we knew Alex to be kind, respectful, funny and easy to get along with. He was a leader to his peers and always encouraged others to do their best. Alex will be missed.

2018
Our family first met Alex while Gabe participated in the Wauwatosa Children’s Theatre production of Little Red Riding Hood. Alex played the role of Little Ears and at such a young age he was brilliant. Watching him on stage was so fun because his comedic timing was always on point.

Alex was a huge roll model for me and he really made my theater experience with him memorable. He was an amazing person. He was really funny and always brought smiles to peoples faces. He was a big help when someone I care about was going through a hard time. School,  theater and the world feels more empty without him. Thank you Alex. I miss you every day

A couple days before he passed, I had a very meaningful interaction with Alex. I was texting him because I was feeling down. I apologized for talking so much, and he sent me a video. In the video, he told me to never apologize for feeling and expressing my emotions. He told me he was always here for me to talk to; this meant more to me than he could ever know. I'm glad that this was one of our final conversations.

Alex and I (Mom) went to quite a few theater productions in the past year. I won tickets to Clue in Madison for us. We left right after school, got caught in a hailstorm, and had dinner together on the way. It was a great show, but felt even more special because we went on a school night! — with Alex Harrison and Leah Harrison

This definitely decreased as they got older, but Luella still describes Alex as her best friend. — with Luella Harrison
