Aleta's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Aleta Fox-Schaps. Born on February 25, 1941, Aleta departed this world on August 21, 2023. Her light touched many people, and her absence will be deeply felt by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Aleta was blessed with a large, loving family. She leaves behind her daughters, Tami Cline and Katrina Whitehead, her sons, Scott Cline, Shaun Cline, Mike Schaps, and Matt Schaps, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  Aleta graduated from high school in Middletown Township, NJ , class of 1959, and a devoted attendee at Faith Bible Chapel.

A woman of taste, Aleta had a penchant for simple pleasures. She enjoyed the flavors of lamb, yogurt, and ice cream. Her preferred refreshments were iced tea and Diet Dr Pepper. An avid reader, Aleta cherished her copies of the Bible and 'Heaven is for Real'. Her love for music was reflected in her admiration for artists like Elvis, Buddy Holly,  Bing Crosby, the hymn 'Amazing Grace', and songs ‘Three Coins in a Fountain’ and ‘Where Have all The Followers Gone.’ Mover were another source of joy for Aleta, with musicals holding a special place in her heart. Yahtzee was her game of choice.

Aleta had a zest for life that was apparent in her activities. She enjoyed shopping and watching movies with her children and was a fan of boating. Her calm place was the mountains or the ocean and she loved vacationing on the East coast. Aleta held a fondness for collecting foxes and all things purple.

Those who knew Aleta remember her as being bubbly, loving, strong willed, caring, gentle but stern, and silly. She emphasized the importance of showing empathy for others, being loyal to family, and the significance of loving God. One of her biggest accomplishments was raising six children single-handedly. This feat is a testament to her strength and dedication.

Aleta’s legacy is one of love and kindness. Her family and friends will deeply miss her, but they'll never forget the heart she had for others. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her loved ones, who will continue to honor her memory by living out the values she cherished.
