Alex Maldonado "CHIEF" Cota, 89 years old, was born in Phoenix, Az. Alex was called home to Jesus on December 28th, 2023. He passed with his loving family by his side. He was such a loving, caring, hard working, active, father, grandfather, great grandfather that will be deeply missed by all. Alex retired as a City of Phoenix employee after 43 years. Alex a widower of 16 years is now united with his loving wife Ramona Leyva Cota " Monchie". He is survived by his children Diane Cota, Catherine Vela, Daniel Cota Sr, Elizabeth Aguilar and Alex Cota Jr, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings Pete Cota Sr, Plutarco Cota, Laura Garcia, Socorro Correa, and Celia Black and many nieces and nephews.
