With profound sadness, we share the news of the sudden and untimely passing of Aldo Javier Garcia on June 24th, 2024. Aldo, a son, brother, and cherished friend, was a pillar in the many communities he touched. His absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt.

A native of Corcoran, California, Aldo was dedicated to helping his community. He was the proud son of farm workers and committed to his family. Aldo attended UC Berkeley, where he excelled and made many friends through his campus activities. After college, Aldo was accepted to the Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellowship, where he stood out among his peers for his deep dedication to public service and his community. He served as the Fellow for Assemblymember Lori Wilson before beginning his dream job as a legislative staffer for Assemblymember Juan Carillo. Aldo was at the beginning of a long and distinguished career in public service when he was tragically taken from us.

Aldo is missed and remembered by his loving family, many friends, the community of Corcoran his classmates at UC Berkeley, his Fellow cohort, and the capitol community at large. Aldo was a kind and caring person, and his loss will be felt deeply in the years to come. We ask that you help celebrate the life of this exceptional young man by supporting his family during this difficult time.
