When I started marathoning, we started a running club @ the Center called the "Cloud Hoppers".  Each week we'd record our mileage & I'm sure, that to no ones surprise, Al was usually at the top of the chart for the number of miles recorded.  R.I.P. my PATCO Brother......

Rita and Family,

Very sorry to hear of Al's passing, he always had smile and a kind word.

Even though I really didn't know Al, knowing his daughter, my dear friend, Christine, (and her daughters) has given me a glimpse into the man that he was through the entertaining stories I have heard. The love and closeness that the Wickham family shares is admirable, and I can only hope that as time passes you may be comforted in knowing you were all so fortunate to have had so much time with such a great man.

I bet he is enjoying all the delicious donuts he can, with a great cup of coffee, and smiling down on you all :)

Much love,

Sherri Cornelissen

I was heartbroken to hear of Al’s passing. Al and I forged a friendship over the past year as we were on the same dog walking schedule. Al & I would chat as our canines, Gary and Archie, would sniff each other. I will miss our chats and hearing his stories. My condolences to the family for the passing of such a kind & genuine man. I am thankful I was able to get to know him.

Dear Rita and family,

Diana and I send our condolences for your deep loss.  I believe Al was the only other Yupper at ZAU, I having come from White Pine. I see you are from Ironwood, we made regular trips there to procure our essentials for northwoods living.

Good Luck &  Best Wishes,

Bill & Diana Roller

Dear Rita, & family,

I was not that close to Al till we worked together at Airfone.  We PATCO people seemed to comprise about 80% of the staff in Maintenance Control!   When I married for the second time, the toaster that you & Al gave Sandie & I was more of an importance than usually attributed to such a gift.  We used that proudly for many years.  Blessings on you and your family.

Regards,  Fred Vogelpohl
