Albert VanDyke went home to Jesus on August 16, 2021 at age 88.

Albert was born to Clara and Kedrick VanDyke on January 22, 1933 in Boyce, Louisiana. As a child, he loved to fish and dreamed of being a police officer.

Albert met his wife, Shirley in 1955 through a mutual friend. They married March 16, 1957 , and went on to have 3 children, Patrick, Caleb, and Crystal. Albert VanDyke lived out his dreams and became a police officer at APD at the age of 19.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Albert also loved playing the guitar. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Albert joins Shannon VanDyke, Micheal Williams, and Edwin Williams in Heaven. He is survived by his children and wife. 

 Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”
