Dear Friends and Family:
We sincerely appreciate your sentiments and genuine concerns for our well being and for this we are deeply and truly grateful.
Your expressions kindly manifest an empathy with the difficulty we are experiencing at this sad time. Albert’s attributes of loving kindness and patience made him the natural glue for his family and his friends. He meticulously maintained those attributes with grace and beauty and his impact will continue in our lives.
We know, and are thankful, that the love Albert had for his family, friends and all who came in contact with him will have lasting consequences. The promise that God gave for peacemakers, such as Albert, is that “THEIRS IS THE THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN”.
We grieve, but the outpouring of comfort we’ve received is a balm beyond our expectations and a testament to the uniquely inspiring person Albert was. We turn to our faith, and with this faith, honor God’s infinite wisdom and goodness and acquiesce to His will. As Jesus cried out in the agonal moments before His death on the cross: " NOT MY WILL, BUT THY WILL BE DONE”.
In our limited view, we most times do not understand God’s actions. However, through trust and hope -- as depicted as a crying child cradled in the arms of a loving mother-- we are comforted. This maternal picture re-iterates the truth and confidence, “THAT ALL THINGS WORK FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD”.
Albert loved God and in this, we have comfort and take solace.
Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts and best wishes.
