I unfortunately did knew Alaska, all I know about her is from other perspective, unfortunately, her story was not told by her…tho I felt a void opening in my chest while reading the email celebrating her birthday, I feel really connected to her and her story, I remeber reading about her long time ago, I was mabye 14 or 15. I’ll be 19 in 5 days and the thoughts about her linger in me still. I was lost then, reading about a lost girl, I’m found now and I live for her, hopefully, she has found herself too.

I’m in my history class right now and reading I came across the general Simon Bolivar. Immediately Alaska came to my mind, she completely changed my perspective on life. She made me realize there’s no answer to her question: we’ll never know what was the labyrinth, we’ll never know if she got out and left us all behind. I hope she did.
To whoever made this website, I’m sorry for your loss, you are lucky to have known her but most importantly thak you for keeping her memory alive.
