What a beautifully written obituary in memory of Alan:) I grew up with Erin (En) in Toronto as best friends and always remember feeling so welcomed by Alan. Some people have a bubble of stress around them or don't have time to hear how others are doing but I honestly can only remember Alan with a smile on his face and either telling or listening to a story and just creating a relaxed environment whenever you're in his presence. Alan and Gloria were always so welcoming to me coming over to visit in middle school, high school, or popping by for a visit when I was back in Toronto after galavanting off to BC as a young adult. Alan was such a proud father and grandfather and I hope that some of these stories, memories, and the many attestations of his positive influence character that made the world a better place bring comfort to all of you as his family during this challenging time. Deepest condolences sent from Whitehorse, Yukon and especially thinking of you Gloria during this time. You and Alan were so lucky to have met eachother and to share so many wonderful years together. I hope to be as happy and chill of a couple as you guys always were when I get older.

My deepest condolences to Gloria, Carol, David, Brad and all the rest of the family. Alan and I went to school together, lived across the street from each other growing up and reconnected on Facebook. I will miss his posts and pictures, especially of little Bronson. RIP Alan.

So sorry to hear this. We spent many happy years on Meadow Ave with Alan as our neighbour and close friend. Played baseball and tennis for years as well. Alan had a wicked sense of humour. Still remember when our son got an earring, which we didn’t like. Alan came over wearing the gaudiest earrings you can imagine.
We will miss him.
Although we have never met, our thoughts are with you Gloria,Erin and the rest of Alans family.
