Alan's obituary
Alan Mark Vignola, 70, of North Woodstock, N.H., passed unexpectedly on May 15, 2024 while vacationing in Corolla NC. Born in Nashua, NH., October 5, 1953, Alan was one of five children born to the late Paul and Rose (Bauer) Vignola. Raised in Hudson, NH., he was a graduate of Alvirne High School. Alan was Paving Estimator and Schedule Coordinator for Continental Paving Inc. He was employed there for 51 years and in 2023 switched to semi-retirement. Along with being husband, father, and so many things to so many people, he was fixer and caretaker of anyone that he met. He loved traveling, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, gardening, renovating houses, and especially proud of his new “taj garage.” We will remember him for his strong work ethic, his kindness and compassion, and his unwavering love of family. He will be missed and cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lyn Ruane Vignola of North Woodstock NH.; son Michael Vignola of North Woodstock, NH.; son Max Vignola and his wife, Mikayla, of Hudson, NH.; brother-in-law Patrick Ruane and his wife, Danielle, of Bow NH.; sister Peggy Hodgen and her husband, Robert, of Billerica MA.; brother Bruce Vignola and his wife, Jeanne, of Hudson NH.; brother Brian Vignola and his wife Barbara, of Hudson, NH.; sister Robin Hallock and her husband, Tim, of San Ramone CA; sister Karen Fortin and her husband, Richard, of Nashua NH.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Alan was predeceased by his sisters Pauline Lusignan and Patricia Small.
Alan requested no funeral or wake, but rather a celebration of life be held in his honor for all to enjoy.
The Celebration of Alan’s Life will be held : Sunday June 30, 2024 4:30pm to 9:30pm Budweiser Brewery Experience 221 Daniel Webster Highway Merrimack NH.
