Alan's obituary
Born on January 18, 1985 in Waukesha, WI to Scott and Mary (SanFelippo) Strahota, Alan was an energetic and adventurous child. His family moved to Minnesota in 1991 where he met his best friends, Richard, Nancy, and Scott. Alan loved sports and played hockey, baseball, and bowling. Alan graduated from Eagan High School in 2003 and spent many years working as a manager for Valvoline. In 2006, Alan met his wife, Sara. They were married in 2008 and their son, Luca, was born in 2016. Alan was very protective of his family and was an incredibly proud stay-at home dad. He was a die-hard Packers fan, a competitive hockey player, and could often be found building something in his garage or watching movies in his theatre room. He loved coaching hockey as well and was always talking about how proud he was of his teams. Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Marie SanFelippo and David and Lorinda Strahota; his aunt and uncle, Frank and Judy SanFelippo; and his twin nieces, Mia and Maizy Nguyen. He is survived by his wife, Sara; son, Luca; parents, Scott and Mary; sisters, Kristina (Steve), Tamara (Dan), and Theresa (Matt); nieces and nephews, Charlie, Sasha, Maci, Ryan, and Mikayla; goddaughter, Emma; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends and teammates. Services will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021. Visitation begins at 10:00am and funeral begins at 11:00am at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 7510 Palomino Drive, Apple Valley, MN 55124. In lieu of flowers, we would be honored to have a donation made in Alan's name to Camp Mak-A-Dream.
