I had the privilege of working with Alan until the very last day of his life. We first met online in 2021 and collaborated full-time for almost two years. Those two years were truly the best of my life, during which I gained invaluable insights and knowledge from him.

Alan's passing is not just a personal loss for me but a profound loss for the entire world. His deep love for others and his genuine joy in helping, including me, left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Despite the physical distance, we worked side by side for two years and achieved significant success in our collaborative endeavors. Our connection transcended mere professional ties, making us closer than anyone else in the world, even though we never had the chance to meet in person.

Even now, I find myself missing Alan greatly. The day after tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of his passing, prompting me to reflect on our time together. I stumbled upon this site, and I felt compelled to share my feelings.

Alan was a true hero, and his absence is deeply felt. I cherish the memories of our time together, and I continue to miss him dearly.

It is with sadness that I learned of Alan's passing this past weekend. I knew Alan during the years when he worked as a programmer with us at Xcira.  Alan was a valued member of our team and he covered a lot of ground for us as he was always willing to step in and tackle a problem.  He was committed to the idea that our customers deserved our best and as a clutch player, he always found a way to "get it done" on tough timelines.   To this day, among those that knew him when someone is starts demonstrating those qualities, we say, "he's becoming another Alan".

Alan had a warm and disarming smile and was friendly, engaging and had a great sense of humor. He  was well respected and appreciated by all his colleagues and his longtime friends at Xcira when he moved on to other things.  I will miss him and I know he will be missed by those who knew him here at Xcira.  May you bask in God's Glory, Alan and rest well in Him.

Well said. Always about the needs of others. My kindred in spirit, and a beautiful friend forever.
