Alan's obituary
In profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alan Peter McQuarry, aka Baby Al, who left us on February 13, 2024, leaving a void in countless hearts. Born on March 27, 1964, Alan truly was a diamond in the rough; his dynamic personality was characterized by his happy-go-lucky demeanor, wit, friendliness, creativity, and inventiveness that charmed all who had the fortune to cross paths with him.
Alan was a loving and cherished brother who was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and June McQuarry, his brother Frank McQuarry, and his niece, Jamie Stallman. His spirit is carried forward by his surviving siblings, Patricia McQuarry, Sharon Peterson, Mary McQuarry, Thomas McQuarry, and Richard McQuarry. Alan's brother-in-law Jeff Peterson, and his nieces and nephew, Bridget Lyke, Samantha Lyke, Riva Garcia, and Michael O'Conner, also survive him.
Alan was a master carpenter, known for his amazing log furniture. His striking creativity and inventiveness were manifested in each piece he crafted. Yet, his greatest accomplishment was not material but embodied in the lessons he shared on the power of forgiveness, and the kindness and generosity that he extended unconditionally.
A parting, yet never a farewell, we remember Alan with deep affection and gratitude for the happiness he bestowed on us. He leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will forever be imprinted on our hearts. In the words we use to remember him, "until we meet again, Baby Al."
