Alan David Klammer, 63, of Los Angeles, died August 17th, 2021. He was born January 1st, 1958, in Minnesota, to Alfred and Irene Klammer.
Growing up in St. Paul, Minnesota, Alan was fond of the winter months due to his love for hockey. He used to hose down his parents’ backyard and create his own ice skating rink to play on. He carried his love for skating into adulthood, along with his love of mechanical engineering. He received his BS degree in engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Alan is survived by his two children, Amanda and Matthew, who remember him for his passion for nature and the outdoors. When Amanda moved to Colorado in 2012, he would often visit with Matthew, where they would go hiking in the Rocky Mountains. He worked as an auto mechanic and aerospace engineer, often traveling across the U.S. to share his design skills with various companies such as Raytheon, Cessna, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin.
Alan will be loved and remembered as someone who was kind and shared a quiet but loving appreciation of his family.
