Alan's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alan "Dick" Fox, a beloved family man and friend to many. Alan, better known to some as Dick, was born on August 17, 1959, and passed away too soon on March 15, 2026.
Alan is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharol Fox, with whom he shared many wonderful years. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Curtis and Leon Fox, his daughters-in-law, Valerie Evans and Shanae Fox, and his nieces, Natalie Sydney. Nothing brought more joy to Alan's life than his grandchildren, Hunter, Sawyer, and Savannah Fox, who will cherish their memories of their grandfather.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a celebration of Alan's life at 6:00 PM on April 17, 2026, at Halkirk Community Hall. The evening will be an opportunity to remember Alan, share stories, and honor his legacy.
Alan had a taste for life's simple pleasures, including chocolate donuts and steak sandwiches. Haha. He was a loyal fan of The Oilers, and could always be found working in his shop during his spare time, one of his favorite recreational activities.
Those who knew Alan would describe his personality as "hard on the outside, soft on the inside". This summed up his resilient spirit and his tender heart, a combination that endeared him to those around him. Among his many accomplishments, Alan was proud of his long-lasting career, having worked for 40 years at Andy’s.
Alan's passing leaves a void in our hearts, but his memory lives on in the stories we share, the laughs we remember, and the love we hold for him. His life was a testament to the power of dedication, love, and hard work, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.
