Alan's obituary
On Wednesday, June 26, Alan Keith Eadie, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away. He was 63 years old, and he is survived by his daughter, Victoria French, and his siblings, Linda Richardson, Denise Larkin, Butch Eadie, and Tommy Eadie. Born to Madeline Marie Eadie and Ronald Blair Eadie in New York, Alan graduated as a member of the class of 1978 from Eastern Vocational & Technical High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He later enlisted in the Army in 1980, where he served for four years as a Crew Chief for an OH-58 aircraft stationed in Hawaii. After serving in the Army, Alan moved to Ocala, Florida, where he became a talented civilian and police aircraft mechanic, during which he also maintained his pilot’s license.
Throughout his life, Alan loved to work with his hands. He tinkered with treasures and always had multiple projects going at once, which made his garages and hangers a tapestry of assorted tools, specific parts you’d find nowhere else, and small items that he saved for a rainy day when someone inevitably needed something. Alan loved to golf, to go to the movie theatre with his daughter, Tori, to walk around flea markets with his sister, Linda, and to set up unique holiday themed blow-up decorations in his yard.
Alan was a kind man who never lost his childhood imagination or whimsy, and his friends and family miss him dearly.
