Alan was born to the late Max G. and Margaret L. Critchfield (Scoville/Winegar); and was born in Sodus, New York.
Alan Critchfield (age 59) passed away suddenly on Sunday October 12, 2025, while traveling through Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is survived by his significant other Tammie Junkin; his siblings Terry (Gloria) Critchfield; William (Cori) Critchfield; and Candy (Matthew) McIntyre; his nieces and nephews Aaron (Katie) Dean; Eric (Rene) Dean; Levi Critchfield; Heather (Ed) Critchfield; Willam (Tracy) Critchfield II; Monita (Mike) Raponi; Autumn Raponi; April McIntyre; Nicholas Hickman; Amber Hickman; Andrew Hickman; Christopher McIntyre; and Dylan (Nastia) McIntyre; and great nieces and nephews; Aaron, Chase, Victoria, Areyanna, Alonnah, Damien, Hannah, little William III, and great-great niece Charlotte. Alan was predeceased by his sister Rev. Lyn L. Dean, and his nephew Matthew McIntyre II (little Matt).
Alan worked for Peerless Tire & Auto Service in Cañon City, Colorado (in the city he resided). He worked his way up into a manager position, and was highly respected by his co-workers. Alan also worked at Lyons Packaging Facility in Lyons, New York, prior to moving back to Colorado. Alan had good friends in both New York and in Colorado; he was liked by many. Alan had a great love for nature, a deep appreciation for music, driving motorcycles, and family connections. He loved holidays, family gatherings, and loved to play horseshoes and darts. Alan had a very close relationship with siblings and his nieces and nephews. Alan loved western & war movies, and was always up for a good comedy. Alan had a big heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was loved by many and he will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026; TBA
