Aidan's obituary
Aidan Wesley McGill passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2022, at the age of 17.
Born to Jessica Winter and James David McGill on July 28, 2005, Aidan was an affectionate baby who loved to be held, especially by Jessica. According to Jessica and confirmed by others, he still holds the title of "the best cuddler".
While Aidan may have been a shy and cautious baby, as a toddler, he became more independent. He was very thoughtful and sweet but insisted on doing things himself. One of his first phrases being "My do it mommy", which quickly earned him the nick name "Bam-Bam".
Through Grade School and Middle School, Aidan was all Boy. He was curious about everything, loved the outdoors and stayed busy playing soccer, basketball, baseball and being a Boy Scout. It was clear that Aidan had a keen intellect and loved helping others.
These qualities began to define him. He was a kind, generous, loyal, funny and ambitious young man who was wiser than his years and often referred to as "Buddha" by some of his many friends.
Aidan died the victim of a violent crime, but he did not live his life as a victim. Aidan was a leader, strong, proud and courageous. We are all better for having known him and he will continue to impact our lives and the lives of people he never met through the way that he changed us.
Aidan is survived by his lovely Mother Jessica Winter McGill and beautiful Sister Lily Agnes Winter McGill of Citrus Heights, CA, Grandmother Kathleen McGill of Fayetteville, AK, Grandfather Roger Neill of Spokane WA, 1/2 Brother James Timothy McGill, 1/2 Sister Hendrix Lyn McGill of Fort Mill SC.
Aidan was preceded in death by his Father James David McGill, Beloved Grandmother Joan Summer Stearn and Grandfather David Wesley McGill of Nederland, TX.
