Aida's obituary

Aida Vargas, 73, of Rockland, Massachusetts, passed away on December 2nd, 2018 in Weymouth, Massachusetts Aida’s life will be celebrated ‪Sunday December 9th‬, with family and friends in Holbrook MA. There will be no services at this time. Aida Vargas was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Delores Santory-Vargas and Antonio Vargas on December 27th, 1944. Aida moved to America when she was five years old with her parents and three older siblings, Carmen, Tony and Victor. Once moved to America, Aida welcomed ten more siblings, plus two half-sisters from her father. She attends Jamacia Plain Public schools until the 8th grade when she dropped out to help raise her siblings. Once when she hit her 20’s she attended culinary school and completed it with an associates degree in culinary arts. Aida worked as a chef for numerous companies around the Boston Area, for most of her life. She was very involved in Bible Study classes, Arts and Craft fairs and spent a lot of time dancing and singing, which she loved to do more than anything. Aida was a very bubbly, big hearted woman who would do anything for her family and those close to her heart. She spent many years helping raise her younger siblings and taking them in during times of need. She never turned anyone away and welcomed anyone into her home with open arms. She strived to make all those around her feel happy and safe. Her big heart, strong mind, goofy personality, generosity and passion will be terribly missed. Aida is preceded in death by her mother, Delores, Father, Antonio, Brother, Alex, and brother Victor. Aida is survived by children, Lisa and Sean Vargas, his wife, Emily Damelio-Vargas, grandchildren, Marissa Vargas, Sean Vargas Jr. and Kelcy Boyer. Siblings, Delores Vargas, Carmen Daley, Sylvia Joyce, Linda Tighe, Marisel Wells, Angelina Vargas, Natalia Vargas,Felipe Vargas, David Vargas, Tony Vargas, Louis Vargas, Jimmy Vargas, Felix Vargas and many nieces and nephews.
