Aida's obituary

Aida L. Diaz, 54, of Holyoke, MA, passed away on November 24, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Luz Valentin on January 29, 1969 in Comerio, Puerto Rico and was a long time resident of Holyoke, MA. Aida was a highly esteemed employee at Holyoke Hospital for over twenty years.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Aida devoted countless hours to sharing the Bible’s comforting message to any who would listen. Besides making memories with her dear family and friends, spending time gardening, and appreciating nature and wildlife, Aida’s greatest joy was serving her loving God and “best friend,” Jehovah. She found that helping others learn about him was medicine for any heartache.

Aida had an effervescent, magnetic personality and was cherished for her ability to make others laugh. She collected many dear friends over the course of her life. So attentive, Aida was always ready to cheer them up if they were going through a hard time or to offer a compassionate, listening ear. A dedicated mother and wife, her daughters and dear husband were her pride and joy, in addition to her nieces and nephews.

Aida is survived by her husband Angel G. Diaz, daughters Jenice Diaz and Eliza Diaz, brothers Luis Valentin, Gabriel Valentin, Alejandro Oquendo and her sister Raquel Valentin. Aida is predeceased by her daughter Jencine Diaz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9th at 3:30pm in The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 511 Northampton Street, Holyoke MA 01040. The service will also be held over Zoom:
