The memories literally go back some 35 years ago. My story would pretty much be the same as many others. He was brilliant, and an amazing husband and dad! He was a great teacher with immense compassion! He was humble and knew how to serve and love others with such excellence! I loved his amazing smile and the gift he manifested as our Associate Pastor, friend, and colleague! Although I am sorry at his passing, yet I rejoice in the fact that he has joined with the multitude of saints that have gone before him! Until we meet again my brother!

Thank you Mr. Ah Tua Teo, truly. I attended your philosophy class during my time in SUNY Ulster and it honestly was the greatest class of my entire life. So much so that I signed up for that same class again the following year just to do it all over again. And I was a terrible college student at the time, not even showing up to my major classes, but you for those 90 mins would prove me wrong every week. I would even show up early to catch you before class to have deep, rich, and meaningful conversations before tackling philosophy. I cannot begin to even thank you enough about the conversations we had or the ways you helped me in my life so many years later. The lessons you taught me and your wonderful spirit still inspires me to ask the questions and seek the truths. My own truths beyond the shadows and the truths of everything we perceive around us. I dont know what lead me to seek you out today but I am deeply saddened to hear of your passing. It was a great honor to have shared in your beautifully elegant mind and your equally warm soul. You will be missed but know that your essence lives on. Thank you so very much Sir and I wish you a blessed afterlife. From a former student who loved every second of your class, Justin Palines.

I worked at SUNY Ulster for 4 years as assistant to the office of academic affairs which required almost daily interaction with faculty members. Unlike many of the others, Professor Teo was always a pleasure to discuss any issue. He was not only a brilliant professor loved by his students for his knowledge and insight, he was also always respectful and grateful to staff as was his lovely wife. His passing is a true loss to the students to whom he dedicated his professional life and to the staff who must deal with faculty at the college. Thank you, Professor Teo. May God bless you.

A great man and philosophy professor at SUNY Ulster. I will always remember his calming disposition and warm smile. It was always enjoyable to speak with him, whether about philosophy or SUNY Ulster‘s committees and faculty issues. He was very popular with students, and many of them look up to him. My condolences to his loving family. We will miss him at Ulster.
