Agnes M. Brown, 78, of New Cumberland WV passed away peacefully 12/5/25 at her home.

Born in Bridgeport CT on 7/18/47. She graduated in ‘65 from Bassick High in Bridgeport then went on to get a scholarship and graduate from Cornell University in ‘69 majoring in Human Ecology.

She worked for Singer as a consultant, sold Stanley Home products and then worked in the alumni offices at both Cornell and Rochester Universities. Then went on to start her own business Camus International. She traveled all over the country selling cross stitch kits and Celtic related goods at the Highland Games. In her later years she also took on being a yarn distributor.

She loved gardening, Scottish dancing and all types of needlework, knit baby shawls for each first born child in the family.

Pre-deceased by her parents Mary McLaughlin Brown and Duncan Brown.

Survived by brothers James (Jan) Brown, Duncan (Gail) Brown and niece Laura (William) Brown. Along with many cousins all in New England.

A private graveside service will be held at Mountain Grove Cemetery at a future date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cornell University.
