Agnes's obituary
Agnes Lawanda Davila, a beloved canine companion, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2025. Born on May 20, 2015, near La Crosse, WI, Agnes found her forever home in Oshkosh, WI, on July 17, 2015, becoming the very first dog for the Davila family. She quickly became their patient teacher, guiding them through the joys and unique adventures of dog parenthood. The family often lovingly joked that Agnes was the original instigator of household chaos, setting the lively tone for years to come.
In her spirited younger days, Agnes reveled in games of tug-of-war and enthusiastic fetching. As she gracefully matured, her greatest joy became her daily walks with her dad. Agnes was known for her voracious appetite and a remarkable "stomach of steel," always ready for her next meal. True to her nature as the "oldest child," she kept her dog and human siblings in line with her big, tenacious bark, making her opinions known on every subject—you never had to wonder what Agnes was thinking. She was a true communicator, always letting her family know exactly how she felt.
Despite her declining health over the past year, Agnes faced her challenges with quiet resilience, rarely complaining even as her discomfort grew. Her unwavering spirit and unique personality will be profoundly missed by her parents, Jason and Hillory; her human siblings, Caleb (Amanda) of Appleton, WI, Emma (Oliver) of Oconomowoc, WI, Eli of Wilmington, NC, and Addi at home; and her canine siblings, Luna and Mildred.
In Agnes's memory, the family kindly asks that you give your own beloved pets an extra squeeze and consider donating to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
