Agnes (Ama)'s obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Agnes (Ama) Baffo, a beacon of warmth, kindness, and generosity, on June 26, 2025. Born on August 21, 1951, Ama lived a fulfilling life, marked by her loving nature and strong commitment to her faith and family.

Ama tied the knot with her life-long partner, Samuel Baffo, marking the start of a beautiful marriage that lasted over four decades. Together, they spent a significant part of their life in Brooklyn, NY, before transitioning to a serene life in Kumasi, Ghana, in 2015. Throughout their journey, they were blessed with five wonderful children, Samuel, Emmanuel, Paul, Samantha, and Steven, respectively, enriching their lives with joy and laughter.

Ama was a stalwart attendee of the Church of Pentecost. Her strong faith was evident in her devotion to the church and her commitment to helping others. It was an inherent part of Ama's personality to be kind-hearted, generous, and family-oriented. She firmly believed in the virtue of giving more than receiving, a lesson she passed on to others through her actions and words.

Ama's legacy is one of love and worship. Her benevolent spirit and selfless love will forever inspire her children, grandchildren, husband, and all who had the chance to know her. Her light will continue to shine in their hearts even in her absence.

In honor of Ama’s selfless spirit, donations are being gathered to help children at the Ashan children’s home, an orphanage in Kumasi, Ghana.

Those wishing to pay tribute to  Ama can contribute to this noble cause. Donations can be made at the following URL: 'https://everloved.com/life-of…'.

Ama will forever be remembered in our hearts. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Baffo, children, and grandchildren. Her soul may rest in peace, her love lives on in us.
