The first time I met Red was in Detroit. I had come home to report on the start of casino gambling downtown. She had worked as a greeter at one of the casinos, but later quit because of her conscience. Great interview, very heartfelt. I loved her immediately because she was a loving, caring human being. We reconnected several years later when both of us relocated to the Bay Area. I saw her about a month before her wedding. She was so happy, so radiant. I still find it difficult to reconcile that she’s gone. She was a great mother, wife and friend. She made the world a better place.
