Adrianna's obituary
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Adrianna Brophy, a woman of vivacity, generosity, and strength. Born on January 16, 1967, Adrianna sadly left us on December 2, 2023. Her legacy of unwavering love, strength, and an insatiable zest for life prevails, touching those fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Adrianna's light continues to shine brightly in the heart's of those she has left behind, including her devoted husband, James Charette, and her beloved sister, Mia. The bond she shared with these individuals formed an extraordinary source of love and support that defined Adrianna's life and will continue to resonate in their hearts.
Adrianna's passions and preferences awarded her a unique and beautiful identity. Her fondness for Vegetables, Mediterranean food, and Chinese food, as well as her love for a refreshing, icy soda, was vividly evident in her daily life. She adored the thrill of songs like 'Black Velvet', and the enchanting Cartoon Song by Owl Jolson, 'I Wanna Singa'. Her heart inclined towards the artistic intellect of books like 'The Historian' and 'The Magician's Nephew' and the cinematic beauty of 'Random Harvest', 'Secondhand Lions', and 'Tuck Everlasting'.
Adrianna's appreciation of art was profound, cherishing pieces of Renaissance art, and the seemingly simple yet intensely meaningful 'Good Conversation', suggesting her depth as an individual. She reveled in the competition and intellectual stimulation of games like Scrabble. She cherished tranquility and found joy in the simple pleasures, often indulging in relaxing walks or engaging in stimulating conversations.
Adrianna, with her affection for the color red, was a vibrant burst of energy, often visiting her favorite local spots like Kouzina restaurant and the Peppercorn House. A fan of the Casinos in Connecticut, she made the most of her downtime, embracing the thrill and excitement they offered.
She was a woman who was kind and friendly, but did not suffer fools easily. Adrianna had a gift for listening and had an uncanny ability to make sense of the people she encountered, traits which contributed to the deep and meaningful relationships she established throughout her life.
Adrianna will be remembered for her unyielding love for her granddaughter and the selfless love she extended to her friends, and particularly to her husband. It is this love, grounded in compassion and unyielding strength, that we remember Adrianna by, and that will continue to live on, in the hearts of all those she touched. Adrianna Brophy, while she may no longer be with us in person, will continue to inspire and guide us, through the enduring memories and the everlasting love she has left behind.
