Adleigh's obituary
Adleigh was born September 9, 2014. She hit every milestone early as if somehow she knew there was no time to waste. No one could have imagined her impact, not only on those close to her, but to people around the world. Everyone who knew her or followed her story instantly fell in love with this strong, sweet, smart, sassy, funny, big-hearted little girl. There is nothing that this brave little girl did not smile through. She was truly a blessing in all the lives she touched.
Adleigh was a student at Children Of Destiny Preschool where she was dearly loved and adored by all of her teachers and classmates. She gave them that same love in return and will be forever remembered and missed by them all.
In November of 2017 Adleigh was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and incurable brain cancer. Her mother’s goal at that moment was to fill whatever time she had left on earth with a lifetime of love, memories, and adventures. Her story was met with an overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers. In turn, it brought even more awareness to this horrible disease.
Adleigh’s strength and determination never wavered and she fought to the very end. She did not fight alone for this brave little warrior commanded her very own army, Adleigh’s Army.
There is comfort in knowing Adleigh was welcomed to heaven by the embrace of the Best angels. Waiting for her at heaven’s gates were her great-grandfather Bobby Best, Wanda Bowen, Barbara Brinkley, and Dotta Daniels
Adleigh lives on through her parents and brother, Andrew Ritrovato, of Festus. Her grandparents Ken and Mary Bender of Festus and Dave and Heidi Hartog of St. Louis. Her aunt Heather Bender of Pevely, and uncles, Doug Bender of Chicago, Jeff Bender of Malaysia, Dennis Hartog and Thomas Hartog of St. Louis. And many cousins.
May all be inspired to live like Adleigh. Be kind, always. Find joy in every little thing. Love with all your heart. Never let anything dull your sparkle. And fight, even when the odds are against you.
Visitation for Adleigh will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 4-8pm at Victory Church, 1 Victory Dr, Pevely, MO. Funeral Service will be 11am Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the church.
