In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to African Views Organization.

Background

His Majesty was also a trustee of the African Views Organization's Elders Council, based in New York, further cementing his legacy as a bridge between cultures and continents and a staunch defender of progressive cultural values and human rights.

King Adedapo Aderemi, affectionately known as Daddy King in Suriname, leaves behind his devoted wives and nine children, who will carry on his legacy of kindness, innovation, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of society. The people of Ido-Osun and all those whose lives he touched through his leadership and vision are very saddened by his passing.

Anyone who met Oba Aderemi Adedapo knew he was kind, loving, caring, warm, brilliant, amazing, and wonderful. He had an immense passion for martial arts, practiced yoga, and always found meditation to be a source of positivity. Oba Aderemi Adedapo’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say. Contributions in memory of Oba Aderemi Adedapo can be made on this website, and the proceeds will contribute directly to the support of his well deserved funeral, befitting a noble king. The event will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 6, 2024, at Multi-Purpose Hall, Oshogbo-Iwo Road, Ido-Osun, Osun State, Nigeria. If you cannot attend the service, please consider posting on this memorial website.
