It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Adekunle Olayinka Olaogun, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on June 25, 2024. Born on July 25, 1955, to the late Wright O. Kehiode Olaogun and Janet Adunola Sanyaolu, Kunle's life was marked by generosity, warmth, and an enduring dedication to those around him.

BIOGRAPHY Adekunle Olayinka Olaogun
26 July 1955 – 25 June 2024
Adekunle Olayinka Olaogun was born on 25 July 1955, to the late Wright O. K. Olaogun and Janet Adunola Sanyaolu, who, at the time of their passing, passed away left behind a legacy of warmth and generosity.
Kunle's early life in Ebute-Metta and Papa Ajao, Mushin, Nigeria, entailed a elementary education at St. Paul's Catholic School, Costain, Apapa Road, and on to the prestigious Abeokuta Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. There, he excelled both academically and athletically, proudly representing his School at state and national levels.
After graduating from high school, Kunle worked with his uncle, Chief Sanyaolu, the Balogun of Egbaland and Managing Director of A. Sanyaolu Bros Nigeria Ltd, an electrical and engineering contractor. Sometime during the transition between these jobs, Kunle trained as an architectural draftsman. He was then able to leverage his newly acquired profession to take a new job way up north of Nigeria, Jos, Plateau State, working for DTV Company, a contracting firm.
In the Fall of 1981, Kunle left Nigeria to pursue a university education at The Tuskegee University, Alabama, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, followed by some graduate work at the University of the District of Columbia.
Kunle served as the General Manager for Motel 6 (Accor Hotels) in the Northeast region, overseeing operations in Maryland and North Carolina. During this period, he met and married Vesta Adkinson. Their loving union was blessed with two daughters, Vestalia and Morenike Olaogun, three granddaughters—Shanay, London, Violet.
Known for his sociable nature and dedication to helping others. Kunle’s loving relationship with Anna, brought forth the blessing of a daughter, Oluwatosin Olaogun.
Kunle was a cherished family benefactor and unifier. He maintained strong ties with friends and colleagues from his days at his alma mater, Abeokuta Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His infectious smile left an indelible impression on everyone who made his acquittance.
