Adam Joseph Williams, 35, of Sparks, Nv. left this world on February 19th, 2024 while surrounded by his loving wife and children after a six year battle with brain cancer. Adam was born in Reno, Nevada to Rick and Leah Williams on May 24th, 1988. When Adam was one year old, he and his parents moved to Sacramento, Ca. While there, Adam became a big brother to his sister Alli Williams. After four years, the family returned to Nevada and Adam spent the rest of his childhood in the city of Sparks. At 16 years old, he began working at Black Rock Pizza, a former staple of the Sparks community, where his hard work eventually led to a management position. To this day, you can still find his name etched in the cement outside of that building, reminding us of his playful spirit. He graduated from Sparks High School in 2006, and went on to become ASE certified in several automotive skills and trained in welding through TMCC. Upon receiving these qualifications, he pursued his career by establishing himself at Reno Auto Wrecking and Sparks Auto Wrecking, where his determination and passion again led to a management position and partial ownership. He was proud to put his roots down in his hometown of Sparks, where he and his childhood sweetheart, Steevy Yarborough, started their own family. He loved his kids more than anything and was an amazing father. Adam loved to work on cars. With his respected reputation as a mechanic, Adam became a popular volunteer consultant to anyone in Sparks building a hot sport compact, restoring a classic muscle car or enjoying a 4x4 off-road truck. He was always eager to lend a hand to anyone working on an interesting project car. Adam also loved to “shred the gnar” as a skilled skateboarder and snowboarder, and built many fond memories with friends on the slopes and at the skatepark. He was an expert fisherman who spent many long days out on the lake, on the shore, and along the river banks casting the line with his friends and family. But his most favorite thing to do was to make people laugh. Adam had a one-in-a-million, goofy personality that people gravitated toward. He loved to make others happy, and you only ever had to meet him once to remember his contagious laugh and witty comebacks for a lifetime. Adam is survived by his parents Rick and Leah, his sister Alli, his wife Steevy, his daughter Kinslee, and his son Tucker as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Adam was preceded in death by many friends and family, who we are very sure are so happy to get to laugh with him again. He was loved by all who were blessed enough to have met him, and he will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to the Musella Foundation to help support families faced with this devastating diagnosis and to help advance brain cancer research.
